Due to changes in food preferences, growing health and beauty awareness, and diversification of lifestyles, food additives that not only enhance the taste but enhance the appearance, functionality, and preservability of food materials with added value as well, have an increasing demand.
Utilizing our global supply chain, we supply high-quality, safe, and secure products and materials to companies in Japan and abroad.
We are also engaged in consulting activities for customers of various sizes. We will continue to promote businesses that contribute to many customers through our food business.

To a wide range of customers in Japan and abroad with optimal and meticulous inventory management, our strength lies in the ability to supply material in five major fields (acidulants, thickeners/gelling agents, sweeteners, seasonings, and food materials) that are indispensable for increasing the added value of food processing, preserving, and functionality.
While working to strengthen our network capabilities by making use of our trading experience, we will contribute to the establishment of our own technology and product development with a variety of items.

We procure food additives and ingredients from around the world that meet the trend and needs of various countries and regions.
Furthermore, we will establish a Quality Control Office within the company and build a system that will enable to control the production of the manufacturing sites and its quality pertaining to any materials and products.
We will continue to promote the products with higher value and facilitate the needs of our customers. Furthermore, we will engage consulting services to accelerate our customers' businesses regardless of their size and continue to strengthen our trading business.

Initiatives for sustainability in the Food Division
Towards various SDGs goals,
each division is working to start and expand the handling of better raw materials and products.
Main Activities
- Contributing to solving global issues, including poverty and hunger, by expanding sales of products such as dried crickets and granular soy protein, avoiding the protein crisis caused by the world's population growth,
and work out world wide poverty and hunger tasks by promoting importation of products from impoverished regions. - Marine resource conservation by promoting the use of bio-gum and plant materials, such as gellan gum and xanthan gum, which are fermented by microorganisms as a replacement of gelatin.
- Ensuring food safety by establishing a department specializing in quality control.
